Hi, everybody, Julie here, The Sales Ace, bringing you another sales tip to help skyrocket your business.
So as I record this, I am literally just about to go away on holiday and I can't wait! I’m really, really tired - it's been a busy year! And I've been sitting, planning, making sure that I've got all my ducks in a row for when I get back, which made me think this would be a good subject to put on a sales tip.
So, what I mean by this is I’ve been planning revenue, making sure that I've got things to do list, and a people to call list when I get back from my holiday; I know what my sales plan is and what my goals are, and I've already thought about what business development activities I'm going to need to do when I've got back, and I've got some of those booked in the diary.
I've already thought about marketing activity, not only for when I get back but for when I'm away; the lovely Laura-Anne is going to continue with all my marketing and my social media. So I've really planned this break and I've planned for when I get back.
And the reason I've done that is I know what it can be like sometimes: you come back, you've been laying on the beach, you've had a great time on holiday, and you kinda can't be bothered, and it can take a couple of weeks sometimes to get your head back into life. So, look: plan it, think about it, get down to brass tacks with it, and just make sure that when you get back from holiday you've got a plan in place to hit the ground running when you get back.
